3.00 WOLVERHAMPTON
Everything points to a win for Yungaburra who is someway clear of his nearest rival on adjusted ratings. Add in the fact that all six of his victories have come at Wolverhampton, five of them over today’s trip, and the fact that he arrives here at the top of his game after a couple of sound efforts. Woodcote looks well placed to finish in the money once again whilst Desperate Dan looks next best.
3.30 WOLVERHAMPTON
Mark Johnston’s horses generally improve as they step up in trip and this appeared to be the case with Kochanski at Lingfield last time. She didn’t look the most straight forward of fillies carrying her head a bit awkwardly but she is entitled to improve as she steps up another two furlongs. Joe Fanning rides Wolverhampton supremely from the front and I can she him making the early running before slowly cranking up the pace getting many of these in trouble.
4.00 WOLVERHAMPTON
This looks a no bet race to me with Air Maze likely to start a worthy favourite. However, I don’t like backing Sir Mark’s horses having their third run so would be compelled to take her on. Taminas Desert did enough on her debut last June to suggest that she has a race in her and I would certainly sit up and take notice if the money came for her after so long off the track.
7.20 KEMPTON
Forty Thirty sets the standard after a couple of decent efforts but he hasn’t really learnt to settle in his races and often pulls his chance away. He is still respected but I would look to take him on with Soul Singer who made a sound debut over course and distance earlier this month. She was slowly away but looked to be getting the hang of things until she was checked on the run in so hopefully she will be a bit sharper today.
