The first horse to mention is GREAT ENDEAVOUR who was having his first run since being put up as an eyecatcher and made it a successful one when scoring on his chase debut at Towcester. He looks a promising horse and should continue to be followed.

FINIAN’S RAINBOW – At Newbury on Saturday Finian’s Rainbow made a very impressive debut over hurdles and looks a horse worthy of a trip to the Cheltenham Festival. He beat a useful horse in Sereth and the style of his victory marks him as one to follow. With Bellvano winning impressively over two miles on Friday, he could be worth stepping up in trip for the two and a half mile novices hurdle at the festival.

PASCO – Really caught the eye with how he travelled at Newbury and looked all set for victory until Mount Oscar caught him close home. It was however a very good effort and on another flat track, he should gain compensation soon.

NICHE MARKET – Ran a blinder in the Hennessy Gold Cup and after winning the Irish National, he looks an ideal candidate for the Grand National. As long as the handicapper is not too harsh, he is definitely one to consider for the big race in April.

SOLWHIT – The slow pace of the Fighting Fifth Hurdle was definitely against Solwhit and I expect him to bounce back to form in a stronger run race. People should not lose faith in him as he is very good and should win another big prize this season.

QUANTITATIVEEASING – Very impressive when winning at Newbury and is now unbeaten in two starts. He looks very promising and should be followed for the rest of the season and the Cheltenham Festival is definitely on the cards for him.  

WASHINGTON IRVING – A very useful horse on the flat, Washington Irving made his hurdling debut at Carlisle on Sunday and hacked up on heavy ground. As a winner on heavy on the flat it could be that the conditions really suited him and on testing ground he is worth following when stepped up in grade.
