French Ligue 1 Pre season Advice

Marseille to win Ligue 1 – 11/4 (Various)
This years Ligue 1 looks ultra competitive with only 6 points separating the top 7 teams. Luckily Marseille are the 7th team and with a game in hand on the top team (and reigning champions) Bordeaux that gap can be cut to 3.

Bordeaux look very strong this year and have done really well to advance from their tough champion’s league group, however every team looks to be fairly inconsistent and when they get a chance to cement a place at the top they fail top do so. Marseille seem to be getting into a rhythm of late and they also provided us with one of the best games ever in the 5-5 draw away at Lyon. Hopefully they can go on a strong run after Christmas and provide Bordeaux with a tough challenge come the end of the season.

Mamadou Niang to be top goalscorer (each-way) – 14/1 (Sky Bet)
Mevlut Erdinc to be top goalscorer (each-way) – 28/1 (William Hill)
 To keep our interest in Marseille I also advised Mamadou Niang to finish top goalscorer at 14/1. We sit in a very good position here as, with the leader on 10, our man is only 3 goals behind and if Marseille can go on a good run then we will be in a very strong position. He know what it takes to score goals in this league and so the each way option looks like cracking value and I still fully expect him to be challenging at the top when reach the end of the season.

Mevlut Erdinc has had moderate success at PSG with 5 goals. PSG have not been in scintillating form of late but there is no reason to write this bet off as our man has also proved he can score goals at this level and like Marseille, PSG are capable of a strong run which should lead to more chances for Mevlut
