I hope you all had a good Christmas and a profitable few days betting!

The highlight of Boxing Day was KAUTO STAR’S demolition job of a class field in the King George and it was great to see MADISON DU BERLAIS get up for second rewarding us with a nice exacta of £7.40.

As expected GO NATIVE beat Binocular, so I hoped you backed him at a rather generous S.P. of 5/2. BINOCULAR ran an ok race considering he made a bad mistake and he should still prove competitive in the Champion Hurdle.

I was disappointed that BELLVANO could only finish second at Kempton as the track should have suited him. He is obviously a good horse, but he may not be as good as I originally thought.

At Leopardstown PANDORAMA (11/8F) won the Knight Frank Novices Chase. He stayed the trip well and showed a very good attitude to deny Weapon’s Amnesty in an almighty battle to the line.

NEWBURY
At 1.30 QUANTITATIVEEASING makes his second start over hurdles and is fancied to win. After making an impressive debut big things are expected of him and with Nicky Henderson have his string in such fine form, it will be a surprise if he was to be beaten, especially as the ground should hold no fears.

BIG BUCK’S has been declared for the rearranged Long Walk Hurdle at 2.40pm and can’t be opposed. He was simply awesome last season and could not be faulted on his seasonal debut. Diamond Harry will make sure he gets a race, but he should win and cement his position as favourite for the World Hurdle.
