ROUND UP OF LAST WEEK’S RACING
It was another good week for us with five winners. Firstly DUC DE REGNIERE won well at Kempton and although it has been reported that he will miss Cheltenham, he should be seen next at Aintree.
At Newbury we had three winners. Firstly ALFIE SHERRIN won in the style of a good horse and he is on target to tackle the Coral Cup at Cheltenham. MASTER MINDED then bounced back to form and apart from the last fence, he jumped really well and should be very hard to beat in the Champion Chase. BELLVANO completed the hat-trick when bouncing back to winning ways with an impressive victory in the novice hurdle. He is very speedy and should run a big race in the Supreme Novices Hurdle.
On Thursday THE MIDNIGHT CLUB got off the mark over fences at Clonmel and with that confidence booster under his belt he should continue to be followed as long as the ground is soft.
WEEKEND PREVIEW
After a busy couple of weeks things really quieten down for us this weekend as we have just the one runner. QOZAK goes in the 3.50 at Wincanton (Kingwell Hurdle) and he is capable of running a big race. The track should suit as will the ground and as long as he is given a positive ride, he could give the favourite something to think about. Punjabi obviously will be strongly fancied and has a serious chance, but the ground will be a lot softer than he likes and as shown by Zaynar this week, it can be tough giving weight away in bad ground. Starluck is another who should run well, but again the soft ground will not be in his favour, so a chance is taken on Qozak.
