Snippet – May 13th 2010
York 1.40
5f sprints down the Knavesmire are always competitive heats and the opening race on today’s card looks no different. The one that does catch the eye though is Richard Fahey’s JOHANNES. He makes his seasonal debut in this event but with a very decent record fresh that shouldn’t be a concern and if you go back to his three-year-old days and compare his current mark to back then he doesn’t look the worst handicapped horse in the world. He had a stellar season last year, progressing from a mark of 73 to his current mark of 95, and with conditions seemingly in his favour there seems no reason why he won’t go close.
